I think what Deoxys meant was that Spanish does NOT equal Latin. (=/=) Technically, Spanish means Castillian, Andalusian, or one of several other cultures from the Iberian Peninsula, while Latin means South American.

Actually, many of the residents of the state of New Mexico refer to themselves as "Spanish," as they are descended from the original Spanish settlers of the area. Of course, many of them have Navajo, Apache, Hopi, or Zuni blood in their ancestry, which gives them a "Latino" or "Latina" appearance, but they get offended if you call them by the otherwise pc "L" or "H" word. Just thought you might like to know,
