What "some" people might like is irrelavant. The guy who owns this site (and thus makes the rules) says it isn't allowed, so it isn't allowed. The reason it's referred to as poser, is because most of it is made with a program called "Poser." You can do great things with it, and a very, very few people have done nice work with it. But 99% of what people make with it is amaturish, like those pics above. The main problem, however, is that pictures made from it can be cranked out by the thousands and often end up clogging boards like this one. That's just what was happenning in the Request section, so the owner banned it, and rightly so.

when the poser poses, having posed in a certain pose, then the pose is the pose having been requested. Let me pose a question...if and when someone poses in a certain pose for the pose-off, who is the victor, and will the pose become the Pose?

Unfortunately, only the pros are good when it comes to prose. However, when pros are photographed in their pose, the are referred to as the "poser". On the other hand, in a hockey game, the loser is called "hoser" because the losing team had to hose down the ice for the next game. This is the origination of the slang word hoser, commonly used by canadians.
If they "posed" to long on the ice, they came froze!
