Jack the Destroyer (Jack the Immortal Series Part II)

Prologue

“We cannot abide by this any further, Elder. He is far to dangerous to let live. You know that if we struck at him together we could easily take him down!” This came from the lips of Elliot, the youngest member of the Counsel of Elders. And like the youngest of any organization, he was the most hot-headed, not yet adopting the cool-hearted nature that reflected his true, still heart. The rest of them, however, saw with more logic by themselves than ten anything elses working together. Perhaps more.
“Yes, the five of Us could take Jack down; but at what cost to Ourselves? In the long term it might be the best, but are you willing to end your immortality to face him down? He does not mess with anyone but those who mess with him. Or those around him. It would be better to let him run his course. He weeds out the foolish from our numbers.” This came from the lips of Marian. Quite old in her own right, she was still centuries younger than the Eldest. “I rest my vote in letting him have his existence. He will eventually become crippled with age, and die from it, while we live on.” Elliot gave a little growl, but his turn was passed, time for someone else to speak.
“I am in agreement with Marian. Let him run free, let him take out foolish young bloods that might one day be a real threat to us. He does our job for us, why should we punish him for that? Aside from that, on a more realistic note, I also do not wish to give up potentially thousands of years of life just to take out one man who would not glance my way twice if I did not try to touch him or his friends.” This from the lips of Robin. Male, despite his name. He far surpassed both Marion and even more so Elliot. He was already many decades old by the time Marion had been born. “Why go through the bother? Even thinking past our own skins, if we were to die, then several places of the world would more than likely fall into regression.”
“Perhaps. But that my happen regardless of what we do with Jack. We focus to intently upon him. We should be dealing more on the subject of training our apprentices. I honestly think Marion is too tough on hers. She is bound to kill them off. And then what are we going to do for her heir?”
“Stay on topic!” Snapped Elliot, as insolently as he dared, to the Elder. She was a little scatter brained at times. She tended not to care about what was right in front of her nose. She missed the affront, and only blinked a couple of times.
“Yes, sorry. Jack. I agree that he should be taken care of. You never know what a man might get up to if left on his own. Look what he did to that poor girl the other day! Sure she chased him but still, a man ought to show some reserve.” Moria--no one was sure whether that was her true name or not. It certainly was not popular the time of her birth—was old fashioned nevertheless. She always suspected that a man would always be up to no good unless under the watchful gaze of a woman. Many often thought that Moria thought she herself should be the taming force behind him. Perhaps she did. The woman was often fickle in her old age, despite looking not a day older than eighteen. Even Marion and Elliot looked older. By all accounts she should have been removed from the Counsel on charges of being senile. Though all knew she remained because of a fondness the Eldest had for her; as a parent to its child.
The Eldest had not missed the affront given to the Elder, and coolly gazed upon Elliot. Coolly because it could have made the north pole seem an arid desert by comparison. The Eldest surely had a couple of millennia to perfect it. “Ahead of us, unclear our path is.” The Eldest truly was an intimidating person. Male or female, no one knew. Age? Impossible. Except it claimed to witness the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Along with many other people. Claimed to have been crucified itself, though it never displayed scars. “Uncertain, his fate remains. Immortal, like ourselves, he seems to be. More so, perhaps. Right, Moria could be. To guide him, a hand perhaps.”
At the Eldest’s approval, Moria practically glowed with pride. She truly did seem much the daughter that the Eldest saw her as. “Yes. A woman to keep him on the right path!” She stated cheerfully, nodding her head as if this were the most obvious thing in the world.
Elliot protested first, of course; “Guide him? We need to destroy him! We need to kill him before he poses a danger to us. One day he will forget his placid nature. Like Mor—Elder mentioned, he raped and destroyed a vampire brutally. He may step up from that. We need more than a guiding hand. We need a crushing fist.” Perhaps he was the youngest and most hotheaded of the group, but he was old enough to know how to deliver speeches. “Eldest, you alone could destroy him with the bat of an eye? Why do you not? Why let him roam free when he could be destroyed?”
“Question me not, boy. A conclusion, I have come to. Change my mind, a unanimous objection only will.” The Eldest glanced around, nodded, and stood. “Since proposed the plan, Moria did, her responsibility it is.” Again, Moria preened at being selected by the Eldest. She stood up with it, and nibbled on the end of her fingernail. “I will depart as soon as I have the things I need. Thank you Eldest, I am honored by your decision.”
The Eldest nodded, as did everyone else. The decision was made, and no one was going to change it. For unities sake, they would agree with the Eldest. Like it or not. The Elder, Moria, quickly shuffled out of the room—as much as a centuries-old vampire could be said to shuffle. Elliot gave a small scoff, but Marion glanced sharply at him, and he blushed and ducked his head. A plan had been set in motion. A plan that would save them or doom them. There could be no middle ground. No middle ground with Jack, the Immortal.

Jack. That was his name. At least, that was what he called himself. To everyone else he was something else. Jack the Immortal. Jack the Slayer. Jack the Savior. There were plenty of them. By now, he was sure some people thought he was a more violent second coming of Jesus. He was not, of course. He denied it each time someone mentioned it in front of him. He was just Jack. Plain old Jack. So yeah, he destroyed a couple of vampires. Anyone could do that. It just turned out that he was the one that did it. He did not seek them out. They came to him. He did not want to kill them. It was all in self defense. Except, that one time, he had taken it rather far. A night of enjoyment that should never be forgotten. Even now he could recall the delicious sounds of her dying.

‘ “Please, don’t do that..” She begged, but of course he didn’t pay any attention. He was about to exact revenge on all vampires through this female. “Shut up.” He said, but as if in contradiction, she said; “Please...” So, to shut her up, he jammed his dagger twice more, puncturing both of her lungs. Vampires didn’t need to breathe, so filling her lungs up would only keep her from talking. Plus cause blood to leak from her mouth, which was just sexy. He drew jagged gashes on both sides, to help them fill faster.
Now all she could do was gurgle in pain. As he had expected, her cunt was pale as well. Nevertheless, he brought his dagger forward, taking the fold of her clitoral hood, and making a quick slash in order to rend it from her body. The girl gurgled, then. Blood actually spewed from her mouth, her body jerking around in the pain that he dealt her. Jack now smirked a little, feeling rather sadistic at the moment. He dragged his knife across her clitoris, quartering it. Quickly. He did it so quickly that she was feeling the first cut just after he finished the second.’

It almost frightened him how he had become so sick. Perhaps that was a side effect of killing so many? They might have been vampiric, but they still were human, with minds and emotions of their own. Madness. Normal man or not, he was a very bad person to have madness set in upon. He could hurt a lot of people. He glanced up at the night sky for a moment, letting his eyes take in the views of the stars. He stared at them for a few long moments.

It was not until he heard a voice that he realized someone else was there; “You should be more careful, Jack the Immortal.” Came the melodic voice that belonged to a pale skinned girl in front of him. He knew her immediately for a vampire. She obviously was not here to kill him—she had the chance already—but he still let his fingers come to rest upon the hilt of the dagger sitting on his waist. Blades worked better than guns most of the time, when dealing with vampires. Regardless of intention, he was surprised with the girl lifted her hands up, in an almost frightened way. “Peace, I come peacefully. Please do not harm me. I am no good in a fight.” For some reason, he did not think she was lying. Vampire or not, she was not meant to be brutalized like some other women. As bad as it sounded even in his head, he could not look at her without thinking of a delicate flower.

She stepped forward, offering a white-gloved hand to him. “Come now, sir. It is not proper to leave a lady alone at this hour. Escort me to your home, like a good gentleman, and let us talk.” It was the glove that made him notice the rest of her clothing. White gloves, white dress; though it in no way resembled any wedding gown he had ever seen. Even white boots. Delicate looking boots, however that worked out. He imagined if she pulled a gun on him, the gun would look delicate. Her curly blonde hair fell down in ringlets well past her shoulders. It probably would have been much, much longer had it been straightened.

That was odd, for a vampire. Usually the light haired ones covered up their hair with dyes as soon as possible. And this vampire did not strike him as young at all; however she pretended to act. He reached out either way, lightly taking the hand within his own, treating it as if it were glass. His house was not far from here. They walked briskly, silently. It seemed neither of them wanted to attract undue attention. Once they had slipped in the door, he shut it behind them, and gestured to the better chair. “Please, sit.” He said, before taking the chair across from her.

“Hm. I knew there was a civilized man in all of those barbaric tales I have heard of you. I had hoped that it would be this way.” She stated, a dainty smile coming upon her lips as she settled down in the chair. She seemed to be incomplete without a cup of tea in her hands, yet at that same instant, she did not need that tea cup; she was sophisticate enough without one. Jack, however, did wish to get to the bottom of this.

“Was there a purpose to your visit, ma’am? Or was this just for pleasure?” He asked. He was not rude in asking, merely stating a curiosity he had. His head lowered slightly, and he stared at the woman through his eyelashes. It was an expression of distrust for him. Any who knew him would know it for what it was. But apparently this woman did to.

“I have come for a purpose, though I assure you I do mean you absolutely no harm. In fact, I mean you good will. You see, I have kept my eye on you. Metaphorically, of course. I have not been stalking you. You intrigue me. I wish to remain with you for a while, to see what can become of it. Will you allow this?” She asked sweetly. Her head gave a small tilt, making her seem like a bird.

It did not affect Jack. He had grown accustomed to this by now. “No. You can not stay here.” He shook his head quickly for a moment, beginning to stand up, but the woman called him to wait. “What if I promised not to kill my food while I stay with you?” Now that gave him pause. “Now how would I trust your word? I do not know you.”

She shook her head a moment. “No, of course not. That was silly of me to think that you would trust someone you did not know. A vampire at that. You have every reason not to.” She slowly stood up, letting a faint sigh brush past her lips. “Very well then. I was looking forward to getting to know you, Jack.” The look of sadness on her face was what brought him around, however. He growled inwardly at growing soft even as he said; “You may stay, but you know my name. What is yours?”

“Moria” Was all that came from her. She was smiling now. She drift over to Jack, as if she never touched the ground to walk. Her fingertips lightly touched against his arm, before she floated away. “I trust that you have a room ready for me?” She glanced back towards him, as if he had been expecting her to come stay. But, surprisingly, he said; “Yes, I have a room made.”

Well, this was not exactly how he had planned his night to turn out. He now had a vampire living with him. He could not comprehend how the woman had done that. It was not Compulsion. He would have known if she had attempted to do that. Her sheer force of will and persuasive attitudes had driven him to decide. How old was this woman, that she could so easily manipulate a man? He shook his head for a moment, going up the stairs to the second floor. He gestured towards the guest room. “This is where you may bed. If you need coverings for the windows, there are some draperies in the drawer in the dresser.

“Thank you, Jack. I appreciate you not sending me out on my own. I did not wish to come out here for nothing. We seem to have the same sleeping schedule, however. This is fortunate. We may get to know each other better this way.” She stated, causing him to blink a few times. Just what did this girl have planned for him? “There is a few hours of night left. Perhaps we might just talk the hours away.” She suggested, settling herself down on the edge of her bed.

“Yes. Perhaps we might.” He replied, settling down a few feet away from her on the bed. “Let’s talk the night away.”

“Why did you want to get to know me in the first place, Moria?” He asked, staring at her curiously for a moment. She laughed for a moment, and said; “Because you are an interesting person, Jack. And because you need a woman in your life to guide you. You are too unstrung. I think a girl is just what you need.” He blinked a few times, merely staring at her. “What?” Again she laughed, and shook her head. “I think the other day proves that you need another woman in your life. A permanent woman. You need to be tied down, Jack the Immortal, lest you prove a danger to the world.”

He marveled that she spoke the same reflection of his thoughts just before meeting her. So she thought that she could save him from madness or worse? Okay then, he would let her try. Perhaps she had something going for her. Though, despite her youthful appearance, she seemed so old with the things she was saying. Those were the kinds of things women said in books that took place hundreds of years ago. No man could do right without a woman to tell him what was right. Nevertheless. “Okay then. You are here to make sure I do not do anything brash. Is that all you came for?”

“Why, no. I already have told you that I think you are interesting.” Moria stated, letting her figure lie back upon the bed. She placed her hands behind her head as a pillow, lacing the fingers together. A faint little sigh fled from her lips. “I intend to get to know you, as well.” The man was staring down towards her, frowning momentarily before stating; “So you mean to set me straight and to get close to me. Is everything right, so far?” Moria nodded her head. “All right then. And what will you do if more vampires set upon me?”

Moria blinked herself, once or twice. She had not thought of that. “Well, I imagine I would try to stay out of sight. I would not want to get caught up in any messes like that.. But if you start to get out of hand again, like last time, I might intervene. That kind of behavior needs to stop.” She wagged her finger at him a couple of times, pursing her lips slightly. “There are some kinds of things that no one should have to experience, no matter what their crimes are. That is one of them.” With that said, Moria let her hand slip back under her head, closing her eyes to stare at the back of her eyelids. “Why did you do that anyways?”

Jack frowned a little bit. “I did it in retribution to all vampires in general. To get even with all the hurt that they have done to me.” He sighed out softly, resting a couple of fingers against his forehead. “All of this killing has begun to make me go mad, and as of the other night, it becomes clearer. Are you sure you want to be around me in my present state? I could do something rather brash and unnecessary.

Moria had sat up through the speech, frowning faintly at him before lightly letting her arms slip around the man’s shoulders, hugging herself against him. “I am so sorry that my people have put you through what you have had to be put through. You might have been right in it. Unlike us, you still have that moral restriction against killing. Let me take that from you. You would do good as one of us.” She spoke, nestling her head upon his shoulder, nuzzling it gently with her cheek. “You could be an executor of sorts. Making sure the vampire populous remains under control.” She let one of her fingers draw across his neck slowly, feeling the muscle beneath it. She might bite into that soon; it was very tempting. She could feel the blood pulsing beneath the skin. Feel each little shuffle of the blood cells within him. “You would never worry about having to go mad.”

Jack was close to murmuring yes, before at the last moment forcing a “No.” from his lips. It hurt to do so. “No, I can’t do that.” He said, gently resting a palm upon her shoulder to shove her away. She did not budge. After all, she still did possess that vampiric strength. She keened softly, letting her nose nuzzle into the crook of the man’s neck, seeming to smell the blood just below the skin. Perhaps she did. Her tongue flickered across her lips slowly, gently brushing along his skin. She softly said; “Come on.. Just one bite. It will not even hurt; I promise.”

Jack was falling prey to her seduction second by second, and he knew it, and could do nothing about it. He closed his eyes for a moment, murmuring; “One bite.” Before shuddering out a sigh. The battle was lost, anyways. No use in fighting now. He felt, almost immediately, two sharp pricks on the side of his neck. He had feared that feeling for many years now. And here it was. The feeling of having blood drawn is nothing compared to the feeling of having blood drawn by a vampire. It felt so nice. It was euphoric. He did not even know what was going on for those few moments. Then it seemed like the second she started, she was already finished.

Moria lifted her head from the man’s neck then, licking the crimson fluid from her lips. Jack stared up at her. At some point during this, she had laid him on his back, and crawled atop him. He felt her pressing against him gently, and it was tantalizing. “Mm. You taste wonderful, Jack.” She murmured, leaning down and licking the pinpricks a couple of times. Jack slowly reached up, letting his palm feel across her abdomen slowly. She jumped slightly, and looked down at him. “J-Jack, what are you doing?” She asked him, in a rather nervous voice. It seemed to affect him more powerfully than her seduction. He quickly slipped his hand down towards his knife, slitting her dress open straight down the middle. It was almost too quick for the eye. He immediately replaced it.

His fingers found their way up the flesh until they found to soft rises. Unbelievably soft. But, a contrastingly hard spot sat on the very peak of each rise. Fingers would slowly squeeze the soft mounds between them, molding them to the shape he desired, if only for a moment, when they filled back out into the original shape. Palms slid gently along the harder peaks. Each movement seemed to cause her lips to produce a small chime. He smiled, wishing to hear more of this song. His thumb gently found the peaks, and began to work them between it and index finger. It seemed to harden them further. More suited to producing the music that escaped Moria’s lips.

Her own hands began to drift down across his chest, to his waist, and below, where she undid his pants, beginning to slide them downwards. Already, he was ready for her. But she did not move, yet. She shuffed off the rest of her dress, and pressed herself into the man’s hands, more firmly letting those soft rises in her chest become his playthings. Even so, after a moment, his hands elegantly slid down along her torso, caressing across her hips for just a moment, before his hand slid between her and himself. The tips of his fingers brushed teasingly across the vertex of the girl’s thighs, slowly moving in a small circle. It seemed to have greater effect on producing music than elsewhere.

He hooked his fingers slightly, brushing along the irritating cloth between him and her. She seemed to realize his annoyance, and pushed the things down her legs, tossing them away. Her bare self lay against him, now. His fingers found sheath inside of her, beginning to move within and without. Unsurprisingly, he found it a rather chilled sheath. They would curve inside of her, feeling along their new home with curious intensity. It seemed the longer he went about this, the more moistened this sheath of his fingers became. The girl’s lips went on unabated in their musical attempts, letting out a flurry of sighs and moans. Her hips rocked back and forth slightly, showing their approval of Jack’s actions.

This only went on for a few minutes. Until the probing actions of his fingers drew out pleasant sensations that forced Moria to sing her melody of gasps and sighs with a new fervor. As soon as this peak of pleasure began to die down, she lifting her hips from his fingers, positioning herself over him. Her cool, dead fingers wrapped around him, assuring her that she would set herself right, before using herself as a sheath for him. And it was a tight sheath. Though easily accessed due to the previous attention paid to it. Jack felt a little odd at the cool of her body, but he had done this before; it was easier now. It was rather exotic, really.

He let his hands grasp at her hips, beginning to manipulate them for her. Slowly he lifted them, and pushed them back down, only to meet them with his own hips. This produced yet more delightful music. Soon she found the rhythm of the verse, and began to move her hips on her own. He kept his hands there regardless. They slowly slid upwards, pulling the girl’s figure down onto his own, continuing to brush his hips against hers in a smooth, steady motion. It would not take them long at all to reach the swelling chorus of the song. He felt pressure increasing upon him as she let her wailing dirge of pleasure flee from her. He let himself go within her; he did not need to worry about her dead body producing seed of his. He let out small hums of his own pleasure, letting a sort of harmony enter her music. The motions began to slow after a while, and she lay down atop him quietly, leaving him within her. “Oh, Jack.” She murmured gently, closing her eyes for a moment as she nestled against him.

She did not take long to drift to sleep after that. After all, the sun would be up in a few moments. His own eyes did not feel the sleep, but his body did. He gently laid the bare girl upon the bed, on her back, and tucked her under the covers. He stood up, and redressed his self, before moving to the draperies and hanging them over the window. The sun would not get through those if it sat right outside the window. He kept them because when he first began to sleep during the day, he had a hard time sleeping in broad daylight. He did not need them anymore.

Now that he had made sure she was safe, he walked back over to her, frowning down at her a moment. He felt somewhat leaden, and lightheaded. She had drained his blood. And then he had sex. No wonder; he did not think that was such a safe idea, letting blood be situated elsewhere while he was already low on it. He brushed a few strands of her blond hair from her face and leaned down. They had sex, with more than just random abandon. He felt a bond between them now. He brushed a kiss along her forehead before departing the room. He would sleep in his own bed. Perhaps he would invite her to his bed tomorrow morning.
