Is there any known famous guro fans?
And preferably not artists, since it'd be easy to just start listing all guro artists.
During last few decades more and more people, famous or not, have told to others that they are gay, bisexual, into BDSM, or several other fetishes.
But I think that telling to your coworkers etc. that you like guro would not be commonly accepted.
So... Back to my original question:
Do you know of anyone more or less famous person that has admitted to enjoying guro? I don't.
I don't think he's copped to it but IMO Quentin Tarantino is an obvious gurofag.
It's yet cool to insist that you're into guro like it is with video games ('Oh yes, I'm actually a gamer. I played Marios and World of Warcraft!~') and very vanilla kinks, so no one really has any incentive to come out and say it. Not that anyone famous in the public eye even knows what guro is.

This. Many artists, film-makers in Japan might reference ero guro in their own work, but I doubt they mean what the modern understanding of the term is. Instead it's probably the older tradition with some artists, or pure sensationalism with others (see: dir en grey's videos).

They name it as an influence, but to me it seems like sensationalism. Some of their videos are pretty cool though.
I'm famous, and I'm a guro fan!
Dennis Cooper...actually, there's a story called The Guro Artists in his latest book
Well, God himself is biggest guro fan :) just read bible where he openly says that he likes guts, blood and everything like that :)
God is into some cool shit! He even let his only son be nailed up on a cross until he died! He brought him back to life though, so it was okay.
Jesus = prototype for Mai-chan.
Like, a famous person who has name dropped "guro"? I doubt it. Possible but I know no one. Though there's countless people who have the mindset of a guro fan.
Some of those guys on "Iron Chef" have got to be guro fans! Ever see them chop the hell out of still living moving lobsters and fish? It's freakin' wild! You can see the heads are still alive!
Heh... I wonder if someone will make anime version of Passion of the Christ :)
It would definitely be guro, as in grotesk nonsense.
Me?
Can't believe I haven't mentioned him yet, but of course the cinema of Tsukamoto Shin'ya is heavily influenced by the erotic grotesque. The Tetsuo trilogy especialy so.
Anyone who makes japanese cyber punk films, look at rubber lovers for example, or pinnochio 964 from the same person, it has loads of scenes that you might view as guro.
The first two movies didn't, to my knowledge. Unless you count cyborgs as guro, I suppose they could fall under /f/.

I was not talking about anime, I was talking about films such as tetsuo the iron man, and meatball machine.

sorry about the double post
You didn't say you were excluding it. They're just as much films as any other.
I just don't see how the two are directly related, is all. If all the cyberpunk-genre Japanese movies you've seen happen to involve guro, that sounds more like a coincidence than a law is all.
I'm not a female but what about male endurance? I have masturbation sessions up to 4-5 hours. I suppose it's different since males can't be forcefully stimulated as effectively as females, but still. I'm curious at least as for how long does an average fap session lasts for you guys?

There is a trend in 'underground' Japanese cyberpunk films to follow the same aesthetic as the Tetsuo trilogy, including the aforementioned Rubber's Lover. Worth checking some of them out.
I wouldn't say GitS is in any real way guro, though the scene with Motoko all torn up is hot. Also Akira is arguably grotesque, if not erotic at points (not just Tetsuo's transformation, but his gf's near-rape, etc).
