And why do we have these rules in particular? I'm just curious if others here have any idea.
>1. Do not upload, post or link to anything that does not comply with the United States' laws.
>2. NON-DRAWN IMAGES ARE NOT ALLOWED ON ANY OF THE BOARDS.
>3. If you are under 18 years old, or it is illegal for you to browse these boards, please leave the site.
>4. Furry pictures, toons and low-quality 3D Poser renders are not welcome here.
Seems pretty simple to me.
I'm no furry, but implying furry pictures aren't allowed for the sake of quality control is somewhat "racial" to me, if that's really why. Same for toons; just say non-weeabo.

Protip: furries are not a race, furries are not a community in the same way as black people or homosexuals, furries are not in any way special or amazing, they're just a group of people who are overly and offensively vocal about a FETISH.

Furries bring drama and oh dear god you do not want fucking furry drama.

Congratulations.
Your thread manages to be the most retarded thread I've seen in months. And that says quite a lot in here.
I'm not a fan of gore or male threads, but I have to sift through both to find what I do enjoy. Would allowing furries really be so overwhelming? Shouldn't we be the ones setting an EXAMPLE on acceptance of others' fetishes? ;/
Seems kinda lame putting "no furries" in the rules. Takes away the opportunity to show some good werewolf guro, among other beasts and monsters. Sharp teeth and brutal rapes? Works for me; better than the Jissou-whatever that keeps floating around here.
>>5 There's actually no more drama with furries than there is here. Hell, some of the discussions I've seen here over time are no different than what the emos post on MySpace and FaceBook, sites I loath with a passion.
So that reason's moot point.

What I was trying to say in so many words or less is that furries and furry haters will never ever get along so it starts a supernova of drama. Words like speciesist and fursecution will be thrown around and no one wants to hear it.
If you want furry porn go to fchan.

It keeps away nonsense furry drama, while people still post the odd werewolf or Kitsune thread.
>Shouldn't we be the ones setting an EXAMPLE on acceptance of others' fetishes? ;/
Gurochan is not a do-gooder site with some cause-orientated purpose. It's for porn, and personally I find furry repulsive, I'm sure people think ero guro is repulsive, but that's what this site is for. The amount of bullshit furry chans vastly outweighs quality guro boards, and I'd rather keep this one safe from that.
>WHY CAN'T WE HAVE FURRY HERE? I LIKE FURRY.
Here's your answer:

Thankfully someone had the foresight to permasage this already.

That seems kind of funny as I see a surprising amount of furry guro and rarely does anyone blast that it doesn't belong and should be tossed to GUROChan. The only drama I see are from the non-guro crowd or the trolls. I have yet to hear and guro-furry use the terms "speciesist" or "fursecution" to defend themselves, btw.
The whole approach I see here to what defines guro seems limited and closeminded from what expectations I had when I first visited this site (Murder! Toture! Rape! Monsters!...wait..there's stuff that CAN'T be shown? WTF?!?). There's massive amounts of material that could be shown here, yet the constant use of trival labels kills any prospect of a worthwhile expansion. And that's not just for anything furry-related.

Gurochan is not a general fetish site, it's a freaks, gore and shit art site. We don't deal in irrelevant kinks.
>>5
Actually, some furry haters also start drama by whining as soon as they read the word 'furry'. I think this is also a reason to keep this stuff out of here.
>>12
Furry is guro. It's loosely freakshow content, actually. Also, guro is not "gore", it's "erotic grotesque nonsense". And non-gore furry is a big problem, so letting only "gore furry" in would cause a lot of drama because "it's not fair". Furry subgenres would start their own threads and bump off other, more site-relevant content. Also, there are thousands of furry sites out there, this is not one's personal stash of one's own weird shit.
I also think that the site owners don't want to waste their scarse server resources on material that's easy to find on other sites more relevant of the subject.
As you've seen here, furries bring drama wherever they go.
Just ignore them.
I think that furry would be allowed in /f/ if the posters could be trusted not to turn /f/ into furry board, which they can't be.
>>16
You do realize that this thread is already permasaged and it is absolutely futile to sage your comments, right?
>>18
It only takes a single letter change to express your true feelings.
In regards to "furries bring drama", excluding furries brings more drama than they have in their little finger. I don't like furry and don't care if it's banned one way or the other, and it's the admin's site and their choice, but it's a pretty weak rationalisation.
