Hey guys first time poster here.
I just wanted to know if anyone else is squeamish about certain aspects or types of guro. I also wanted to know if anyone has any types they prefer.
I personally can't stand anything involving the skin (skinning, hooks through, etc.) the face (Eye gutting, tooth pulling, etc.) and any genital mutilation. I just love blunt force wounds and bruises, especially fists and bats. Sadly I can't seem to find that much.
What about you guys?

I like all guro except for guts, brains etc. and scat.
I mostly prefer the really harsh torture without much mutilation.

Personally, I like drowning artwork. I don't know why, but i find it very erotic. Same with hanging, especially if the person is depicted as still alive and struggling.
I'm with you, there's nothing I like more than good beating/fighting/bone-breaking guro.
I like the idea of the victim surviving. Not much of that out there other than some amputation stuff, but I like to imagine that the person in most of the pieces survives and then has to cope with the trauma (unless it's obvious they aren't going to live). I guess you could call it a post traumatic stress disorder fetish.

A scene from an Uziga manga comes to mind...can't remember the title, but it was a short story.
Anyway, at the end, the girl only had organs left. But she still had all her senses, and they kept her alive in a bag.
i like most guro execpt scat.
There's nothing that REALLY disturbs me regarding guro, but insects and feces are pretty repulsive. Neither of them make me want to cringe but still....

I think the one thing that made me want to curl up in a ball and cry for a bit was the Shintaro Kago story (I'm pretty sure it was Kago) with the girl who puts all sorts of insects under her skin. Somehow the reveal at the end made it even creepier.
I find squeamish/uncomfortable girls attractive, and I'm even a fan of rape if it's tasteful. Never really been too big a fan of guro, though. I don't give a flying fuck about the concept of death, but I try to go for painless, whereas guro goes to the opposite extreme, to a beyond-sadistic level of pain.
But then, I try not to judge what I don't understand. I mostly come here for the scat and the occasional interesting topic in Freakshow, the former of which doesn't have a very valid explanation either.
Incidentally, it's a pity the short-lived Yu Yu Hakusho fad is over. One of the central villains was a pretty gruesome fellow, stated it pretty blatantly how much he enjoyed sadism... playing games with seeing how long he could keep something alive after removing its heart, etcetera. And a lady-killer, too. I'd kind of expected someone would cross the two, but no Sakyo guro as of yet. Pity.

Guro stuff should be something harder, and so that supposed to involve at least some mutilation
