So lol, I just damn near got banned from gamespot last night, for in a drunken rage refuring to their BS genchat forums as being /b/..
It seems referances /b/ are a tos violation, who would have known...
So I have a question for you all, where do normal people go on the internet? I meen like, there has to be some sort of compromise between a 'normal' forum like that, and and absolute insanity like this..
The entire internet seems like it's one far etreme or the other to me... I have to be a conservitive or a raging lunitic/pervert to enjoy anything?
The fact that I'm actually asking this on a snuff fantasy forum is it's own point, it's like, I feel that I don't have the freedom to ask a random question on a real forum..
"I have to be a conservative or a raging lunatic/pervert to enjoy anything?"
-correction to my own post, actually life in general tends to feel like this to me..
There's nothing normal about /b/..
Obviously my point has been missed yet again, I'm saying the entire damn internet (and life) seems like it's filled with either extreme conservative websites where you can get banned for saying fuck, or extreme libral websites (like this) that are complete blasphemys to human moral..
Like, where the fuck is the grey area?
Why is human mentality so god damn black and white...
I lost IQ points reading this thread.
There's too many things I want to quote in this thread so I'll settle with just pointing out the rules:
>A text board meant for suggestions, complaints, ideas and discussion. Feel free to write whatever, as long as it's related to GUROchan.
>>5
/b/ is everything normal mashed into the same board. It's complete utter shit. Its not fun, its just bad/boring.
Also, you just don't know where to look.
Now, let this thread die peacefully.
Normal people come here, to Gurochan. Eventually...
People secretly want to see things they can't IRL. So... They secretly go places online where they can. Those places are all considered abnormal, but there's a reason there are so many of them. It's what people really like, deep down.
"Normal" people as I understand the definition don't have a specific place they "go" to just to post and hit f5 all day. People probably go to a few sites a day, maybe check out a forum or two for some momentary discussion. But I wouldn't be surprised if the vast majority of the population simply use the internet for myspace/facebook/twitter, to look up movie times, to look up weather, to look up directions, to look up business times, arrange for something in real life, like a job interview or to read the local news. If you consider coming to gurochan or any forum a highlight of your day, you have a very, very sad life. The internet shouldn't be a place you "go to" to have conversations, to chat with your friends or simply "hang out".
If you ever actually got out into the real world, you'd see that there isn't a noticeable conservative or liberal sway to most people, unless you purposefully bring the subject up.
OP is pathetic for the following reasons:
I agree with the first part of >>6
Hmm, I dunno where normal people go on the internet.
If I ever meet a normal person, I'll ask them :)
I would say >>9 hit the nail on this.
Then again, I wouldn't really know personally as the notion and life of normality (and yes, there IS such a thing as normal) has eluded me even since childhood.
Well it was obvious that this will turn in one of those boo-hoo-4chan threads.
Normal people go to church and consider 45 seconds of their premature ejaculative sex healthy matrimonial intercourse. Normal people are sure that with recycling a banana peel they are somehow saving energy or helping the world. There's nothing awesome in normal, and wanting to be dumbed down so that you could enjoy the greatness of the Normal world and wonders of Normal Usage of Internet is just killing off your IQ points. This thread is about as pointless as the heartbreaking thread about john-the-guro-or-whatever's departing from this image board.
Browsing various chans is the highlight of my day.
I have no friends, either in real life or online.
I never use IM or IRC or have email relationships.
I am not a regularly contributing member of any forum of any sort.
I came online while drunk and browsed gore sites as well as this.
I have no other computer based hobby (such as gaming, drawing, modeling, PS, etc)
I am normal right?
Hey, I just had an epiphany. You know where normal people go? Myspace. Facebook.
Maybe livejournal or twitter, too.
I mean, there are freaks out there, too, but the most normal people that I know tend to lurk on sites like that. I don't know why. I got bored with it really fast. I mean, why would you spend time talking to someone online that you are more than likely friends with irl? Why not just go call them or hang out?
I mean, I guess these places are for meeting people around the world or keeping in touch with loved ones in distant places, but that's what email and forums did back in the fucking 90s.
But there is your answer, oh hated OP.
Wait? There are such things as normal people!? Holy crap!
just go to alexa and check where most people go...
In essence you can only expect that which those around us are generally, inquisitively interested in; which incidentally produces a childlike reaction to most of the content there is out there should the normals breach their safety. Don't worry about it, the thought of NORP's' thought processes terrifies me to no end as it is.
ggf I want to go on internet to kill someone
I find people that consider themselves 'normal' hang out on myspace, facebook, and youtube where they troll other people's stuff to make themselves feel big.
Much prefer this site myself. You're all sick fucks but you're civil about it and far more polite than the rest of the internet. Go figure.
