The Mods have appeared...scarce in recent times. I would like to forward the oppinion that applications are permitted for new Moderators.
I say this because:
1.Too much shit is being posted. (Xaber)
2.Nothing is being done about it.
3.The reliability on Gurochan being one of the best #Chans is degrading slowly.
4.I would like to apply for position of /f/ Moderator.

I think you could start a "General whining about lack of modding" thread - and have people post in it in the future instead of starting a new junk thread every week or so.

I've just went through /g/ and /f/ to clean up some obvious shit. No excuse, I haven't check the imageboards enough lately, can only lurk in /dis/ while at work. Sorry.
I agree this place need more moderators. It used to be some more moderators here, but they left or become inactive one by one, maybe becoz they lost interest of this place; maybe they have IRL issues; or maybe they get tired of dealing with ignorant spams and trolls with no one appreciated, while one or two overlooked irrelevant threads got them balmed and hatred. It's like I'm the one of the last few mods standing, and I definitely appreciate for any help.
If you really want to apply for mod, I'd suggest you to directly send an email to the administrator instead of posting here. That'd be more likely to catch his attention.
And just a friendly reminder to gurochanners:
If you see unsuitable materials in any boards, DO NOT BUMP IT. Let it sink and it'll die eventually, if I or any mods failed to notice and erase that. Bumping junk will only let it catch more attention and live longer.

On /g/ and /f/ however, you're dealing with a much wider population of Internetonians that are most likely typing with one and mashing their salami with the other. The fact that most officials turn a blind eye to underaged persons browsing porn or other adult material does not actually make it legal. In the end, it's your choice to accept the law and wait until you are legal, or disregard it. But disregarding laws can have consequences.

Just wanted to point this out before this thread reaches a bazillion posts about feathery animals, Loli Mac's usefulness as a mod or brave volunteers brilliantly trying to point out how they could get us rid of an endless world of pain with a snap of the fingers.
All of the above pretty much are equally nonsensical - but at least, the last one both is serious and on topic.
The board is still here, it's not degenerated to 4chan-like status, and if anything dumb happens on here it's usually deleted within a few hours at the most (/g/ invasion the other day, for instance).
Since this topic has been around I know that I'm probably not the only mod who's been a little more attentive around the place, so it has been useful (and amusing!). Also, this isn't exactly the internets busiest board. The current moderation team is more than active enough to keep the peace here, and more are really not needed at the moment imo.
What could be useful though would be some kind of reporting system for normal users to alert us of anything we've missed, or to alert us whilst we're not actually browsing the boards. But then again, I don't know yif I'd sa we're busy enough to really warrent it, with current active mod numbers.

When mods aren't around for a long time ("long time" is subjective - some people know how to withstand irrelevant shit for weeks, many will get pissed after only a few hours), people just need to learn how to ignore threads that don't belong instead of bumping them with all their might. That's about as smart as tossing vodka in a fire in an attempt to kill it.

gurochan.net is registered in the USA. American laws require that adult material (yeah, that's gurochan) is to be viewed by 18+ year olds only. The fact that this law is bypassed all the time without consequences doesn't mean that it's legal.
One year apart isn't going to make a huge difference. I laugh at the established order and how age keeps people from doing anything.
