Similar to the food trap above but with sleeping. Mom goes in one room, daughter in other. Daughter's room is just a plain cell, where she gets all she needs, gets treated well, etc..
There is also a little camera in her room leading to a screen in mom's cell.
In mom's room, there is a counter ticking down from 60 to 0 and a button. Press the button and the timer gets reset to 60. If it hits 0 at any time, daughter dies by [insert favourite method], of course so that mom can witness it through the screen.
Try to hold down the button for more than 3 seconds and daughter dies too.
There is also a table in the room with some food and drink, but the food is rather low on energy and there are no drinks with caffeine or the like.
Now tell mom that she has to hold out for 3? 5? 7? days and they can both go home...
this is another good idea! tortures like this that hit the person's brain and nerves more are always interesting. :)
Another idea is to do what >>4 said, but have it go 2 ways, so that both individuals trade button pressing responsibility. Other similar ideas might be to increase the number of participants (decreasing the timer to prevent "combat naps"), or offer a reward such as freedom for neglecting to press the button (make sure that any surviving participants know who's turn it was). Also consider other "buttons" to use; physically exhausting triggers like heavy cranks would be interesting as time marches on. Tile walls and floors can easily hide pressure plates, turning their incarceration into a game of "Twister" from hell.
If you want your comic to be downright creepy, you need to know a bit about psychology. Read about game theory, ethics, and psychology under stress. Watch movies like "Silence of the Lambs" and the "Saw" series to give you an idea of the psychology of both the killers and the victims.

can you think of a torture that could be applied to a couple of androids, both very powerful? the woman is more powerful, but mentally fragile, so i'd need something to break her completly using her partner. i was thinking of something involving energy drain, since electricity and sleep depriving would have little to no effect on them. sadly, i suck for this kind of machines.
I don't really know anything about your fictional characters, but I know that in fiction robots and androids are generally portrayed as indifferent to physical pain, even the more emotive ones. In other words, it would only be possible to use mind games to torture them. Have Android A held hostage, and the captives will execute it unless Android B takes actions that are degrading, or contrary to its morals.
Arthur C. Clarke, whose fictional robots had a very inhuman way of thinking, were actually subject to psychological torment in several stories. In "I, Robot," there was one robot that discovered it could make humans feel better by lying to them, but it eventually got too tangled up in its own web of lies, and decided the only correct choice was to commit suicide :(
Could do this with mother/daughter.
Take the daughter, strip her, tie her (your fantasy not limited; ideally complete constriction).
Take the mother somewhere, where the daughter cannot hear you and see you and explain her your evil game.
You will give her instructions via a little headphone, which you will hide in her ear. She will torture the daughter according to your commands (beating, spanking, even raping etc. etc.) She will only be allowed to speak what you tell her to, nothing more and nothing less. There are many ways to torture both mind and body - Freedom of one to inflict upon another is unprecedented, true hatred is born as both cause and effect, it rotates in particles of all matter, we hate thus we are free, we hate therefore we are.

Tortura no. 1: Persistence
The daughter is strapped to an X. Has electrodes placed all over her body. Mother is forced to whip her constantly. If for each 2-4 seconds the daughter isn't struck by the whip, the electrodes release a strong electric charge which will last until the daughter is hit again. When the mother collapses from exhaustion she will be strapped to the X and the positions will be changed.

Tortura no. 2: False guilt-trip
For this one you'll need two rooms with a one-way mirror between them. In one of them (the "can see in, cannot see out" room) strap the mother on something vertical, ideally a tilted bed. Place a table, some pens and a chair with straps on it into the other ("can see out, cannot see in" room)room. Place the daughter on the chair, tie her legs to the chair so she couldn't go away. Don't tie her above the waist level, leave her arms free as well. Situation: daughter strapped to a chair, a table in front of her with a pen and paper on it, sees mother tied in the other room. Explain this to the daughter: you (tormentor) will give her questions, if she answers correctly you free the mother, if she answers wrong, you do something very bad to the mother (a severe burn of a certain spot, strong electric shock, forced to eat something disgusting etc.) and she recieves an another question etc. etc. until she answers correctly.
Now this torture has 3 possible methods, it's best to combine all of them IMHO.
Method 1: Give her questions, which would seem to be possible to solve (calculus, history - whatever) but actually cannot be solved.
Method 2: Give questions which can be solved, she solves them but continue with an another question nonetheless and torture the mother as if she answered wrong.
Method 3: When she's almost broken don't give her any questions and just torture the mother for some time. This is a fun option extra! Yay.
FUN: 9/10 PAIN: optional/10
Tortura no.3: Sleep deprivation shock
This is a simple but entertaining torture! Tie both mother and
daughter to comfortable beds (no toilet for /s/ lovers). Put electrodes on the mother. Whenever the daughter falls asleep, shock the mother so hard that her screaming will wake the daughter up. Fun increases dramatically after 3 or more days.

this could work easily for your robots, if the female is the one on the balconey, she could be having random parts of her brain slowly being disabled or removed, causeing errors in communication and leading to the death of the male robot.

As for the topic, the types of torture I like the best are of this kind, so I've got plenty of ideas. Most of them, however, seem to have been covered already. I do have a few ideas that don't seem to be here yet, though, so here we go.
1) Have one of them, likely the daughter, tied down to a table with a stick of dynamite (and a very long fuse) inserted into her pussy. Have the other, probably the mother, across the room and bound to a chair via hooks embedded in various parts of her body. Breasts, legs, ass, pussy, and so on, with her hands tied behind her back (but not behind the chair). Tell the one bound to the chair she has two options, rip herself free of the chair so she can rush over and pull out the explosive/stop the fuse, or sit there and let it explode.
2) Have the two of them standing on a pair of platforms, arms chained to the ceiling above their heads through chains that run up into a pulley and then down into the platform, and have their feet shackled to the platform floor. Between their legs are metal poles that run down into the platforms and are hooked into motors so that they can be raised. Have the tips of these poles already position inside the women (pussy or ass, doesn't really matter). The chains on their arms run down into the controls for the motors. Which ever of the two pulls harder on their own chain stops the rising of their pole, but activates the rising of the other's pole. If both are slack then both poles rise. They can push down on this button to turn off their own clamps, but in turn activate the other's. It's up to them if they let their own breasts get crushed or fight to save theirs at the expense of the other's.
