Ok, I realize that Gurochan is for anime gore, but I saw a few threads asking about gorey films, so I thought I would post a thread where we can review what we've seen, and detail what kind of gore is in the films.
FAKE SNUFF FILMS:
"Guinea Pig 2: Flower of Flesh and Blood" (Japanese)
Contains: Injection, stabbing, amputation of hands and all limbs, disemboweling, beheading, eye gauging.
This is the only serious Guinea Pig film I've seen, and of them, this is supposed to be the best. This film definitely was gorey, but its age shows.. now a days even a Saw film is more realistic and violent than this guy. However, what I do love about this film is how mentally disturbed the killer is. He has so much personality that it makes this movie overpower the others. He's not just some quiet guy, he's a cosplayer in a samurai costume rambling on about the poetry in cutting a girl up. In essence, he IS what a serial killer in Japan would be like, and that alone is terrifying. Unfortunately, the girl is heavily drugged the whole time, so those who like their girl wailing in pain might be disappointed. There is also no sex in this film at all, in fact hardly any nudity either.. oddly. I personally find this film a little boring, but it's actually fairly short, and the dialogue by the killer definitely makes it an interesting social commentary on the mentality of a gore fan.
"Niku Daruma" (Japanese)
Contains: Porn, S&M, rape, amputation of all limbs, anal play, potato peeler+tongue, intestine pulling and fucking the hole, machete usage.. I could go on and on really.
Basically, these guys get a porn actress for their movie, and after a while of.. porn, they won't let her leave and then reveal they are actually shooting a snuff film. This movie has no plot, it is just senseless, almost hard to watch torture. To the point where even I had to turn away at the tongue part.. Definitely the goriest fake snuff film I've ever seen, and the most REALISTIC gore I've seen.. almost ever. This is pretty much AS CLOSE to snuff any movie is ever going to get, and it honestly feels like you're watching real footage.
"Muzan E" (Japanese)
Contains: Menstruation, porn, fetish, blood, cruelty, organ play.
What definitely makes this film seem real is the low film quality and the mosaics over faces to protect identities. Basically in this movie a female reporter is reporting on snuff films and actually finds a company that sells her one, which eventually causes her to run into trouble when she searches for more. This film, unlike Guinea Pig 2 and Niku Daruma, is from the victim's perspective, and the film has a LOT more storyline and less scenes of torture. Because of this, it's definitely a more entertaining watch, while still containing some seriously disturbing fake snuff. If you're looking for a snuff movie that is more of a MOVIE, check this one out.
"August Underground's Mordum" (US)
Contains: Forced self-penis removal, rape, vomitting, disembowling, wound fucking, maggot eating, slit throat, dead-child rape o_o. That's all I remember, haha.
Don't get excited by the stuff I just listed. That's IT when it comes to torture that happens in the film, most of the gore in this film is AFTERMATH, as in we just see dead bodies they ALREADY tortured. Which is kinda cheap if you ask me.. I mean, we came here to see snuff, not vomiting and rape with dead bodies in the background.
Basically, this "snuff" film is the second in the August Underground series. A group of friends running around with an INSANELY shaky camera (Shaky to the point where you can't tell what the fuck is going on) yelling "FUCKK! FUUUCK!" and causing mayhem. It's boring, not very gory, and honestly doesn't deserve the title of "zomg most shocking film!!" that everyone gives it.
Although I haven't seen the other two August Underground movies, I know that if you like scat you should DEFINATELY check out the first one, just called "August Underground". It apparently involves poop eating and shoving it up a girl's vagina.
I HEARD that the third in the series, "August Underground's Penance", is VERY good and gets rid of the shaky-cam.
Anyway... That's all the films I've seen that can honestly be classified as "Fake Snuff", however there are some other movies I've seen that DO fall along the lines of Fake Snuff, in one way or another, and are worth checking out.
"Cannibal Holocaust" (Italian but spoken in English)
Contains: REAL animal killing (a turtle, a squirrel monkey, a pig and a muskrat), rape, cannibalism, forced abortion, dismembering, decapitation, pole impaled (mouth through to vag), spiky ball being shoved into a girl's vagina..
Keep in mind that a lot of the above is shown from afar or with a shaky cam.
This is the ultimate MASTERPIECE in exploitation cinema. In essence it IS over-rated as a gore flick. It is not as gory or shocking as it is famed to be. (Although for the time it was made... I suppose it is.) But instead, it is a simply AMAZING film, with brilliant social commentary. This is my all time favorite film, if you couldn't tell. ;D I met Ruggero Deodato in person and he was like, "Why is such a young girl a fan of my film!?" hahaha. I <3 you with mouth. ;D
The movie is about famous anthropologist who goes on a rescue mission to try to find four film makers who disappeared in a jungle while making a documentary on the cannibal tribes within.
The one thing that makes this film so controversial is the animal deaths. The only ones that are bad are the muskrat (it screams in agony), and the turtle (you see its organs in great detail while it twitches). HOWEVER, the animals WERE eaten by the cast who played the tribes people, so it's not like it was a waste.. I mean, if you eat animals then I think you theoretically SHOULD have the balls to sit through animal killings.
Anyway, besides the animal killings, most of the gore is aftermath, shot from far away, or off screen.
This is a shocking film, beyond a shadow of a doubt, but it's no where near snuff level.
If anything, you cheer on the cannibals, the white people are ASSHOLES in this movie and get exactly what the deserve. The ending message is clear, "Who is really the cannibals?" Who is worse in the end? The people who don't know much about modern society and eat the flesh of the opposing tribes? OR the horrible white people who brutally kill and rape them and force them to fight each other just in order to have "good footage" for their documentary?
I love this film, it's raw, brutal, and makes you think.
"Naked Blood" (Japan)
Contains: LOTS of piercing with needles and jewelry, LOTS of self-cannibalism (hand, nipple, vagina and eyeball!!), sex, disembowelment... and a guy literally DIVING into said disembowelment and closing up the wound so he's inside the chick... and he somehow fits, magically!
The movie's about a guy who creates a drug called "Myson" which turns pain into pleasure. He then tests it on three girls and goes around filming them to see the results.
This film is BRUTAL. The gore isn't all that realistic when it comes to special effects, but the actual acts that are being preformed makes you shutter. I think it's the sound effects of this film that makes it disturbing. The CRUNCH! of a girl biting into her deep-fried hand.. The SPLICK! of a girl popping a needle all the way through her skin.
Despite all that awesome I just described, I didn't like this film for some reason. I dunno, maybe because the torture was self inflicted, or maybe because it wasn't actually painful for them...the film just didn't register with me. Ah well.
"Red Room" (Japan)
Contains: Rape, sex, vomiting, hairdryer in mouth, beating, knife in vagina, light bulb in vagina (AHH!), broken-lightbulb-in-vagina girl being FUCKED with the glass still inside (AHH! AHH!! AHH FOR BOTH OF THEM!!)
Another one of my favorite movies. Ever since Series 7 and Battle Royale, "reality show horror" has become my favorite genre. While this movie is DEFINITELY more about sexual torture than it is gore-torture, it does have a fair share of gore too.
Basically, four players are brought into a red room in order to play a card game. Each round, the player who draws the king card gets to choose two other players to be locked in a cage, where they must do what they are told to for a minute. In this cage, there is weapons and props. The aim of the game is to humiliate the other players in order to make them quit. The last remaining player still willingly playing wins 10 million yen.
This movie is SO fun to watch. So, so, SO fun to watch. It's got a perfect amount of disturbing scenes, mixed in with some humor and social commentary.
"Red Room 2" (Japan)
Contains: Rape, nostril fucking with a toothbrush (best way I could describe that scene..), guy reaching his arm up a girl's vagina and pulling her fetus out (oh come on..), beating, strangulation.. robots?
Ok, it's not as good as the original Red Room, and has way less gore and much more sex. It is also a little more silly in tone.. (come on, one character is a ROBOT!! Actually!! WTF!) BUT, in the end, if you loved Red Room as much as I did, and are craving more, this movie definitely delivers. It may be sillier than the original, but it is still fun to watch.
Couldn't find screenshots, ho hum.
"Kichiku dai Enkai" (Japan)
Contains: GORE BRAINS GUTS GOO AND SEX! Decapitations, disemboweling, sexual torture using a shotgun, brains/heads exploding, BRUTAL beatings, and TONS of slice and dice over the top mayhem gore. Haha, I could write an essay just describing the stuff that happens in this movie.
THIS IS THE GORIEST FILM MADE. PERIOD. EXCLAMATION POINT!
And it's a political movie. Haha, to be honest I didn't follow the plot very much. (I'm not very well versed in Japanese politics) But it's basically what happens when a student political activist group turns on each other in violent ways. The gore is mostly slice and dice but there's SOOOO MUCH OF IT. But unlike most slice and dice films (a la Kill Bill), this movie is realistic and brutal.
However, it's one of those films that's all plot until the last 40 minutes, then it's all GORE.It definitely feels a bit like a student film, it lacks a large budget on acting. I mean, some people hate this movie, some people love it. I'm in between, I fast forward to the awesome gore! Also this movie has like, the most realistic shotgun-to-the-head scenes ever.
Contains: Eating babies/fetuses, chopping up babies, late pregnancy abortion (full version only), self inflicted abortion with a knitting needle (shortened version only)
Please do note there's TWO versions of this film. The original full length Dumplings, and the shortened version that is part of the compilation "Three Extremes". When you buy Three Extremes, it actually COMES with the full length Dumplings on a separate disk! I STRONGLY recommend seeing the full length version, as the ending makes more sense. Plus the shortened version cuts out half the storyline and many of the disturbing scenes. (Although the most disturbing scene was ONLY shot for the shortened version, so check that out too! haha)
Anyway, this film actually has a great plot. It's about a middle aged woman who is beginning to feel like she is looking older and older. To top it off, her husband is cheating on her with a very young girl whom he even impregnates (in the full version..). She finds a woman who has dumplings that make you young when you eat them. She becomes addicted to these dumplings and they really seem to be working! And then of course, she finds out the secret ingredient.. BABIES! :D
Haha. This honestly is a great film! And it makes me hungry! (for normal dumplings, jeez. >_>)
(For all 3 Extreme movies) http://www.mandiapple.com/snowblood/threeextremes.htm#dumplings
Guinea Pig 6: Devil Woman Doctor (Japan)
Contains: omg.. singing poo, a singing tumor, cannibalism, stabbing, stripping of flesh, looots of blood, zombies, amputation..
Hahaha, this movie was fucking hilarious. I think after making so much snuff the Guinea Pig guys were just like.. ehh.. let's just have fun with this one. And they hired Japan's most famous transvestite, Peter, to play the lead doctor, who "cures" people with very weird problems. (aka, he makes them way worse.) This movie's campy, silly, and down right weird. I was laughing the whole way through, but then again, I've got a strange sense of humor. This movie is still VERY gory though, after all, it is a Guinea Pig film. :D
"There's worse ways to spend 52 minutes. Probably." - best quote about this movie ever.
would be so much better if they came with download links
if you CTRL+F search for "movie" or "film" in the /dis/ archives you can find a lot of discussions & recommendations
it's not hard to find downloads for any of these
Oh, lol sorry. I just thought we could post reviews. :3 Haha, most of my asian gore movies I get in Chinatown bootlegged for 5$ a dvd, so I don't really download them.
I found a few streaming...
Guinea Pig 2: Flowers of Flesh and Blood:
Red Room 2:
Dumplings (I believe this is the short, cut version):
Guinea Pig 6: Devil Woman Doctor:
Here's a few others on that website that are apparently very gory, but I can't vouch for them as I haven't seen them yet:
Tokyo Gore Police (An /f/-tards's DREAM movie, has a snail-woman and a woman with swords for limbs!)
Ebola Syndrome (crazy gross disease movie)
All Night Long (very low budget torture thriller)
All Night Long 2 (very low budget torture s&m movie.. contains homosexuality)
Guinea Pig 3: He Never Dies! (Comedy about a guy who can't die when he cuts so he just decides to completely dismember himself)
Guinea Pig 5: Mermaid in a Manhole (Guy finds a mermaid dying of a disease.. It's a very... pus filled movie :P)
Philosophy of a Knife (A FOUR HOUR long gorementary about the true story of Unit 731, the torturous Japanese experimentation unit from WW2, their crimes have been compared to that of the Holocaust. )
Men Behind the Sun (Another movie about Unit 731. It isn't as gory, but it is much shorter and still gets the point across. I can't tell you which is better since I haven't seen them.)
Suicide Club (about teenage youth getting brainwashed into commiting mass suicide)
Versus (apparently it's like Kill Bill but with 9000 times more gore!)
Oops, the video for Men Behind the Sun doesn't work, sorry :(
I found Niku Daruma split into 7 parts on Rapid Share.
Near the bottom of this page.
>>8 thanks for the links, i will review them once i've seen them, starting with Red Room
Most gore movies aren't all that impressive, especially when compared to the modern movies like Saw. Also, it depends if you're going for sheer quantity of blood (i.e. Dead Alive,) shock value (Hostel,) or simple sadistic treatment of the characters (anything by Andreas Schnaas.)
Lucio Fulci did a number of nice Italian gory/violent movies, and was known as the "King of the eyeball gag." ("Zombi" and "The Beyond" are two good examples.)
Takashi Miike also directed a bunch of ultraviolent movies, including "Imprint," part of the "Masters of Horror" series on Showtime, and was best known for being the first film Showtime refused to air. (Miike also did "Audition" and "Ichi the Killer," amoung others.)
As to films I've seen, the only real gore film worth talking about is the first "Hostel" film.
It contains: extensive torture (notably via power drill and blowtorch, the latter to the face,) severing of fingers, an oozing eyeball, and other sadistic activity. The gore is also on the believable side.
In case you haven't heard of this movie, it involves a couple of 20-something American guys backpacking their way across Europe, along with a guy from Iceland. Late one night, they meet a guy who tells them that the girls in this Slovakian town who will are supposed to be crazy for American guys. The town's also a home to "Elite Hunting," who are interested in Americans for a rather different reason.
To me, what makes this film unusual in the horror/gore genre is that it devotes almost the first half of the film to humanizing the characters. You start to feel like you almost know these guys, that they could be somebody you met once. THEN the film turns nasty. I personally consider it worth at least a rental.
Sadly, I haven't seent the sequal yet.
Yeah most modern gore isn't that impressive, that's why I was focusing more on hardcore torture and snuff-quality film. I suppose I was talking more about shock and sadistic treatment, as the over-the-top quantity of blood type of film isn't really.. gory to me.. lol, I dunno. I still like them (Dead Alive is ammmazzing <3), but in the end, it's a comedy, not something I can really enjoy as a torture flick.
About Saw.. The PLOT was amazing in 1 and 2, but the GORE was amazing from 3 onwards. I disliked 3 as a whole because the traps weren't win-able, which to me takes all the enjoyment out, but I loved the traps of 4.. too bad the plot was bad. haha.
About Hostel, while I agree the overall THEME of the movie is very guro-chan related (the paying to kill someone in the way you want), but overall it is over-hyped when it comes to disturbing scenes, much like the first Saw film. (To be honest, the only gory scenes I remember that really seemed "WOAH!" to me from Hostel are the eyeball scene with the asian girl and the torture of the guy who gets drilled in the chest and then his ankle slit. The rest was very.. ho hum.)I dunno, I did like the theme of the movie, and I do own it, but I was severely un-impressed with the way it was over-hyped.
Takashi Miike's films I didn't include in my list because usually when he does ultra-violent gore, it's so over the top and silly that it can't be considered even entertaining in a snuff type of way. (although I do love Ichi, hehe. <3) Audition is the obvious exception to this, it's an excellent torture film. However, it only gets disturbing towards the end, so you have to have a lot of patience to watch it. (I loooved how she fed the tongueless guy her vomit though.. wow!) Plus I figure EVERYONE'S seen Audition, it is classique. ;P I heard Imprint was really bad as a film, but I may have to check it out anyway if the gore is good. :S
I just finished watching Machine Girl, and I'm halfway through Tokyo Gore Police (waiting for the Megavideo time limit to finish), so I'll post reviews of them tomorrow. :3 Also I forgot to talk about the Cube films, so I'll get to those tomorrow too. Bwee! Also I'm planning on trying to watch more fake-snuff films, like the other August Underground films. Mordum was terrible, but I heard the third was very good and graphic <3
"Tokyo Gore Police" (Japan)
For the /g/: LOTS of blood, slice and dice gore, girl has all four limbs tied to four cars which pull her apart, guy split in half with a sword, burning by acid, stabbing, hands cut off..
For the /f/: A girl with nipples removed, a girl with a penis for a nose and an eyeball for a mouth, a girl who is alive but has been turned into a CHAIR (and she pees on everyone), a girl who is a snail (her eyes buldge out and she has a shell), a girl who has an alligator head for a lower body, a quadruple amputee who has swords for limbs (and later guns for limbs), a girl who has an alien-creature for an arm and a cyborg eye, a girl who has a giant razor for an arm and shoots acid out of her tits, a guy who has a gun for a penis, a guy whose arm is a FISTING CANNON... and there's more. :D
Ahahah, ok, first of all, if you browse /f/, THIS MOVIE IS REQUIRED VIEWING.
Basically this movie is about a dystopian Tokyo of the future, where criminals have now become "Engineers" and can grow weapons if they are injured, warping their body. Not only that, but the police has been privatized and extremely violent. The main girl of the movie is a police officer who is an expert Engineer killer, but her main motive is finding out the reason for her father's murder.
The gore in this movie is pretty bad and low budget, and it doesn't come off as "silly campy" like it tries to, it just comes off as BAD. Which is unfortunate, since this film had so much potential.
The plot is ok, but the pacing and the acting are pretty bad. Also the movie starts off SLOW AND BORING, however it does pick up.
The more the movie goes on, the more the deformations get so ridiculous that you just begin enjoying the ride. It's too bad the movie isn't like this right off the bat.
Regardless, despite this film's many flaws, it does have some AMAZING characters which are definitely worth watching for any guro-channer.
Some of the best gore movies I found, I found through joining snuff websites. ... of course I'm too honest for myself to share any of em, since that'll be a violation of their terms and service and I want to remain a member >:(.
... but off the top of my head... There was this awesome autopsy sex movie I downloaded off of their site. Basically the morgue receives a new corpse from some sort of accident and the mortician basically has sex with her as he cuts her open. Gruesome stuff, but hey, it's a necrophiliacs dream.
Oh adding to my post above, here's a movie I do have a title to. Well it is more of a short film. The title is Visitor Q and it has an extensive necrophilia scene. It pokes fun at it too, which is funny.
Crap another one is coming to me... there was a Chinese movie called "wayward clouds" I think that had a quick necrophiliac scene, when their main porn star at a porn recording company dies and they decide to film anyways even though she is dead.
Imprint isn't supposed to be THAT gory. It was banned from Showtime because of a very intense set of torture scenes. (Or at least, that's what other reviews have said. I haven't seen it myself, so I can't confirm anything.)
I considered Hostel to be extreme, as it was my first gore-ish movie. But you're right, it isn't really that bad. (Schindler's List was worse, if only because it's heavily based on reality.)
If you're interested in just snuff, check out "Faces of Death" (it's even available via amazon.com!) It's supposed to be nothing but clips of people really getting killed. (No idea on the violence/gore level, just that it's supposed to be all real.) Avoid volumes 5 and 6; they're just small compilations of the other volumes.
The majority of it is fake. Do a google search for "Lifting the mask from faces of death".
Aftermath directer by Nacho Cerdà perhaps?
Not sure if it was already mentioned.
Autopsy, corpse fucking, feeding the heart to a dog.
The most appealing I find the quality. Eye candy.
Yeah Faces of Death does have SOME real accidents in it, but it's like car crashes and whatever, no up close gore. The rest is fake.. Oh, but they have real animal deaths too.
Possibility of emailing said snuff site to me? :( I won't share with anyone.. human_lullaby @ hotmail. com
Yes, it was aftermath. I was only able to find it on the paid site, so I joined to get it.
A little bump
Don't know if these are all well known or not.
"Naked Blood" ...Serious female self mutilation. One eats her own vagina innards with a knife and fork. Kinda fake though since she uses a butter knife.
"The Last Supper" ...canibalism of females
"Pieces" ...Females cut to, what else? Pieces
"Mother of Tears" ... Good vaginal impalement scene (all the way through), among others
"Sick Nurses" ... lots of female slice and dice. A particularly good "jaw dropping" scene. I really liked the girl who ate a donut will brushing her teeth.
"Suicide Club" ... 52 girls run over by a train. Don't get to see all that much of it, but still ...
"Susperia" ... Impalement and barbed wire
"Truma" ... by Dario Argento ... beheadings
"Untold Story" ... canabalism and a good pussy stab. Kind of hard to take the scene when the whole family is killed one by one though. Several kids. It pulls no punches. The cops in it are unbelivable idiots though.
Some of these can be seen on line at:
There are also many Asian horror movies for download free at
Actually they download via Megaupload and Rapidshare, but they're good quality for the most part.
bump and thanks to the op for sharing and describing the movies
Suicide club was fun,
I think my favourite part is when the guy with high heels bursts into a song while one of his croney rapes and kills a girl
Id like to add mondo films to this.
Just know theyre shockumentries designed to highlight the horrible nature of human life.
Keep in mind though that there are some alledged staged scenes but from personal research, although some scenes may be shady their are many grains of truth to those films.
Try start with mondo cane then if you like it watch Africa adidio
The rest ill leave for your own choosing, most can be watched on google videos but with shit quality so i recommend finding a download somewhere like 4chan /rs/ or torrents
Sequel's nowhere near as good as the first, although there's this GREAT Elizabeth Bathory-esque scene were a girl gets sliced up with a scythe and bled into a giant tub. And some guys dong gets chopped, but it's mostly boring.
The first 3 SAW movies I think were fucking brilliant. The only reason the traps were unwinnable in the third was because Amanda was a wangsty bitch who completely missed Jigsaw's point.
Michiroo, are you a vegan or PETA-ite? If you can eat animals you should be able to sit through graphic image of animal torture?
While perhaps PETA gets all up in arms about the torture animals go through to being made to eat meat, most meat eaters don't find animal abuse amusing. Perhaps you find that hypocritical, think everyone should then go vegan, whatever. I find it insulting you suggest that there's some connection between a person who has steak for dinner, and a person who causes a meerkat to scream in agony for the cameras.
I noticed someone linked to a stream of Men Behind the Sun, I just wanted to warn everyone there's a scene in the film where a cat gets eaten to death by rats for real. So if animal abuse upsets you, DO NOT WATCH!
I wouldn't eat meat if I didn't like the idea of animals dying for it. If you can't stomach an animal dying in pain but eat meat you are a hypocrite.
That's stupid. You don't have to like the idea of fish having sex and laying eggs to like caviar, or the boring process of corn growing to enjoy bread. As if all animals died a horrible, painful, guro death to become food! I know vegans who are pretty hardcore guro fans and are vegans just for the medical benefits. It isn't related.
People eats and don't think much about. That doesn't make you a hypocrite in any level. Is not like you enjoy more or less a meal acording or how much the animal they're serving you suffered, unless you are a radical or obsessed fucktard.
Thanks Michiroo, great thread and great films
Actually, the best fake snuff movie ever.
Bloodsucking Freakshow (1976)
but it's more fun when you know about how what your eating came to be in your digestive track, or if you yourself say killed it with your bare hands. that makes a meal much more en-joyable
Grotesque (2009) (Japanese)
A couple is kidnapped and tortured. Contains rape, fingering, mutilation, nipple cutting, castration, and probably more, I haven't yet finished the film.
With words of high praise, it seems:
>"Unlike other recent torture-themed horror works, such as the 'Saw' and 'Hostel' series, 'Grotesque' features minimal narrative or character development and presents the audience with little more than an unrelenting and escalating scenario of humiliation, brutality and sadism," said BBFC director David Cooke.
>Unlike other recent torture-themed horror works, such as the 'Saw' and 'Hostel' series, 'Grotesque' features minimal narrative or character development
>Unlike 'Hostel,' 'Grotesque' features minimal narrative or character development
I really want to see Antichrist too. Clit amputation with rusty scissors.
>>42 here, I grabbed a torrent of it and watched it. Not nearly as gory as I was led to believe by idiots at the BBFC, but the effects are good, and seeing an attractive girl with blood running down her bare chest is always nice. The "unlike 'Hostel'" bit is indeed amusing, but to be fair there really is no story here, not even a bad one and it really basically is just psycho picks guy and girl off the street and does horrible things to them. Also, ending is lol and I wish my Japanese were better so I could understand more of her little speech before he kills her. From what I could understand she trolls him a bunch about how ronery he is and how nobody loves him and such. Truly, a model gurochanner.
Are there any good inquisition films?
