Mai-Chan's Daily Life... (162)

1 Name: Anonymous : 2007-05-24 03:22 [Del]

I don't come here by my own free will, but I figured this would be the best place to ask this question.

I'm sure you've all heard of Mai-chan's Daily Life. I think it's pretty fucking disgusting, but by far the worst part was when the American guy blended up her baby.

What exactly happens to the baby? It is implied it's permanently dead, or are there any follow-up mangas? Weeks after reading this thing it still haunts my mind that I hope so much the baby didn't actually die.

Ugh.

2 Name: Anonymous : 2007-05-24 05:09 [Del]

It's probably permdead, since the kid has'nt developed the ability to consume things like mais body has. No grub = no regen.

3 Name: I : 2007-05-24 07:28 [Del]

One of the funniest scenes ever.
And yeah, it's dead. The American guy destroyed the baby completely so it can't regenerate.
Baby Fuck FTW.

But.. we all like stuff like that here. So maybe you shouldnt come back :(

Uziga said he will maybe do a sequel sometime but he hasn't done so yet. There are no stories that take place after the events of MAI-CHAN'S DAILY LIFE but there are a few stories that take place before it, such as "Mai-chan's Secret" and the other, as yet untranslated, Mai-chan story from the GAME OVER collection. Mai-chan, Sayuri and Kaede are also both in Uziga's non-guro manga IN A QUAGMIRE.

As for the baby, yeah it's pretty much gone for good. Uziga certainly says that Mai-chan's ability works even if she is reduced to just single cells and the only way to kill her permanently would be to incinerate her. But in order for her to regenerate the cells would have to be all together and there would have to be nourishment. The blended up baby obviously partially drained into the ground so, no, I don't think it could be resurrected.

>I don't come here by my own free will

what, someone held a gun to your head and forced you to? gtfo

It's a work of fiction, don't let it bother you.

Very true. I honestly admire Uziga for building Mai up as a lovable character over the course of many years only to then sucker-punch everyone with those two chapters.

According to Kaede, the only way to permanently kill Mai or Kizuna would be total immolation (like throwing them into a blast furnace for a few hours), the kid was their offspring. It was just blended, so it probably lived. Mai's regeneration works faster when she has food, but it's always active none the less (Mai absorbs semen other than Kizuna's, so the baby could probably absorb bacteria off the floor for nourishment if nothing else). It doesn't need its whole body, either. Kaede said that if you cut Mai in half, half of her would regenerate (but you wouldn't get two Mais). Mai would probably never realize that, of course. She's a rather dim girl. And Kaede wouldn't want her to know, either.

Besides the fact that it's a ero-guro manga, I think it's a little stereotipycal but enjoyable shoujo manga

11 Name: Valtiel : 2007-08-31 11:06 [Del]

I did happen to find a place where they have it, Although you have to do something to acess the "keep out" section where it's located, but it's pretty easy to find there, just look under other manga and look for Mai-Chan's Daily Life. looks like they have them all. Sorry I didn't post a more direct link.

I wanted Mai and Kizuna to be together ;_;. Mai-chan is probably the cutest, sweetest guro character out there...I think she deserves to be happy on some level.

Heh, this makes me wonder if there is such a thing as purely romantic/shoujo guro?

It's too bad that, imho, Uziga can't draw all that well. Certainly, he's competent and good, but not inspired. Except for the gore bits.

The tot may not be dead. other than the author's leaving things open enough to bring it back, there is still the "Mai" gene to contend with. A single cell is all it takes.

Mai does need to achieve happiness though. Maybe through one more epic battle, but she has earned her peace.

26 Name: Anonymous : 2007-12-11 01:02 [Del]

Just finished reading it.
The ending was interesting, I have a feeling that Mai-Chan got a happy ending even if the baby died. I have a feeling that after Kaede got a taste of what its like to be like Mai she put a limitation to what her customers could do to Mai.
THAT or her baby survived.
It would explain why she was so happy at the end of the chapter.

Uh, all the stories in Death Face turn out to be just bad dreams on the last page, but that's more comical than anything.

34 Name: Anonymous : 2008-04-18 22:18 [Del]

Since I'm not a guro fan, this was the most disturbing thing I've ever seen. Out of interest, exactly how gruesome is this on the general scale of... Guroness? I'd love to learn that it's actually rather softcore when compared to the majority of this stuff.

It may be simpler to just look for more and do research on my own, but I don't think I have a strong enough stomach. And I'm too freaked out by how many erections I got while reading this thing in the first place.

35 Name: Anonymous : 2008-04-19 02:48 [Del]

>>34

Wouldn't call it softcore. Ripping a baby out of someone's womb and putting it into a blender is pretty gruesome.
However, that doesn't mean there's even worse stuff out there. Check out Hell Season. The themes in the stories in there aren't as hardcore as in Mai-chan, but the pictures made even me feel ill.

Did Mai-chan dies in the end!!!???

You know, when Kaede-san throws her into the oven???

74 Name: PKL : 2008-09-10 23:17 [Del]

In the "closing comic", "Kaede" does throw Mai-chan into a oven, and she probably died. (burned up all her cells)

75 Name: Anonymous : 2008-09-11 01:39 [Del]

I think the bit where Mai gets thrown in the oven like that is just a gag strip, and not something that should be considered canon to her story.

76 Name: Anonymous : 2008-09-11 21:53 [Del]

"Mai could sell off her organs (read: kidneys, liver, heart) for transplant donations repeatedly, lol. MUCH more profitable than being sold for guro."

Actually, her organs would kill whoever she donated it to as it is a body's natural response to kill invaders.

Hard enough to get a organ transplant sucessfully, not like what you see on TV, you need organs with the same blood type as the transplanted or the white blood cells attacks it.

Hopefull we will see more Mai-chan in the future, I hope.....

Unfortunately they have a chance of disappearing once Mai grows the parts back. At least her other half melted when she grew back from being split down the middle.

84 Name: Felix : 2008-12-11 12:04 [Del]

Actually I think the baby died, and Mai-Chan finally accepted it was a better fate for her, instead being a sexslave, and that's the reason for she's happy in the last page.
There are two things implied too:

  1. The decision of killing the baby was a great idea for the plot; after the amputee's girl death, Mai buried those memories and she forgot everyhting. And there was not another reason for Mai to feel pain (cause she's inmortal); so, killing the baby was a great idea for develop a more dramatic plot.
  2. If you analyze the story, Mai-Chan is a silly girl; she was that stupid that she didn't deserved even having a daughter. She wasn't able to control her own life, so why having a daughter too? it was pointless.

Other doubts I keep from the manga are: what's exactly the nature of the weretiger guard on the mansion? and... why didn't Kaede called the tiger when she was eye-poked and being raped? (it is so stupid if you think about it). And another question: did Kaede lost her eye, or did she recover?
Another question: did Kaede planned the death of Mai's baby? (and is that the reason she is sad at the end of the story?)

85 Name: Felix : 2008-12-11 12:30 [Del]

Ahhh, and I forgot:
Actually the final part of the comic the justice is applied, since the bad guy (the president) is punished and he finishes as a mental retarted. It's pleasant to see that =)
So, it's a happy ending, cause the bad guys (Kaede included) got a punishment, and I think the baby's ending was actually better than being a sexslave (and there was no nicer methods to end her suffering).

86 Name: Anonymous : 2008-12-14 19:00 [Del]

Then why was Kaede able to feed Mai-chan to her armless/legesss friend?

I think the idea was that any flesh separated from the main body would die, rather than instantly vanish. And dead flesh = meat, so the amputee could eat it.

88 Name: hungryman : 2008-12-15 01:05 [Del]

While I get the argument that the baby would have had a rotten life if it was not tuned in to baby soup I am a firm beleiver that a child being killed is always wrong and I think that Mai-chan should have had the child so that she would have something to make her happy in life. As to the idea that the blender would have destroyed all of the babies cells it would not have destroyed the bone cells completely. With the enamel in teeth being as tough as it is the blender would have not been able to completely destroy them. Before you start refuting me in this matter I would like to point out that in many crimes when murder victims have been but through wood chippers to destroy the body, the strong bones like the teeth have been found intact afterwards.

>>62 actually that really is what puzzles me about Gurochan. Some of the people here have shown morality. While others really enjoy this sick shit, I mean really enjoy it.

I don't know, why I like it. I really am horrified at the idea anyone would do this to someone. Let alone anyone would find the concept even half-way preferable. Yet, here I am.

I was hoping by taking Abnormal Psychology I could understand why I desire to look at this stuff. It makes me feel numb, and I thought perhaps it's me harming myself psychologically vs, cutting myself, which gave me a similar effect of being numb.

Then there's the whole issue, of me being far more offended by the imagery involving cats. Which I haven't seen much of here, thank goodness. It reminds me of that argument I got in on the IMDB board about the movie Untraceable. N' it was like, "Well why are you more upset about what happens to a kitten, than a person"

I think it's the kitten is like a baby. Even some of the Jissou stuff disturbs me, of course not nearly as much as when I thought it had to do with harming kittens/cats. I read the Encyclopedia Dramatica article saying it's making fun of a stupid doll, which I'm cool with.

So this brings us back to Mai-Chan's Daily Life. Which, I believe has the world record of inducing reactions like, "AAAAUUUGGGH! MY EYES! WHYYYYY! I WANT TO UNSEEEEEE IT!" I believe people don't like when something defenseless is harmed, because that goes against maternal feelings that most people have.

So then why is it not so offensive when it happens to high schoolers, or adults? I don't know, I mean it is offensive, but less offensive than the above. It also depends on the context of how far removed it is from reality. Most of the situations that take place in Guro, the person would be in shock or dead before the person defiled them. Freakshow, well, of course half that stuff could never happen.

I think it's fascinating the fantasies people can come up with in regards to the human body. I always have liked surreal art, and you can't get much more surreal than Freakshow.

I believe people have looked at horrors like this in different forms throughout time to remind themselves what a blessing it is to be alive. Like with Bjork's song Hyperballad, and how she sings about fantasizing what would happen, if she threw herself off a cliff.

I also think to an extent, sometimes I fantasize about saving the people from these perils that happen to them. Like a hero complex. Wouldn't that be weird though, like Superman looking at Gurochan to remind himself why he's needed?

I'm sure you're not alone on that one. Not everyone visiting here are psychopathic sadists with sexual fetishes covering all the letters of the alphabet (though I myself might be one)
However you must be aware that you're browsing one of the chans, where "Legion" has long since invaded and took out all of moral it found by stabbing it in the eyes with a huge wiggly dildo with a nail run through it. All those in favor of continuing their existence had to adapt and/or sever connections to all of their brain circuits that were capable of this, now illegal, dissent.
Remnants of these once proud moral men still lurk around this chan, but only survive thanks to their cameleon skills blending in with the horde of randomly spawning brain eating leprous sex maniacs who established their own renegade state after being rejected by the Internets.

Oh Lord.

Enjoying guro doesn't mean you forfeit your morality nor does it mean you can never entertain any noble ideas.

People can tell the difference between fantasy and reality. This is pretty basic stuff.

Envy, sorry. I mean you and I know this, but I had my shrink go ballistic on me when I mentioned watching horror films. Perhaps I have a bad shrink, but for reasons, one of them being I'm fat I can't switch shrinks. Yadda yadda, don't want to go to a psychatrist and be told all my issues would be solved by going on a diet, ect ect..I guess you all could care less. Well, most people do.

Thanks for helping me clear things up Envy. Really, our society is so fucked up when it comes to issues like death and things. The idea that if you look at the horrors of life, unblinkering, then you're desensitized to it. I think it's the other way around, that the people who only see death or horrors, through the censored media's eye, are the one's who are desensitized to it. The people who are no longer able to relate, because the idea that shit really does happen, is just too much for them to comprehend.

All in all, I'm sure the people in here are more mentally sound, than the stupid bitches I have to contend with every day in my preppy suburb. With all their, "OMGs!" and "Likes", okay, I do talk like that sometimes to be honest. Still, it's annoying. My suburb is so freaking about image, they don't even have a Torrid here, or a Lane Bryant. Oh, horror, fat people live in our community! Psshhh...

I think what's most interesting is that we look to Shakespear as a genius. I think if he lived today though, and wrote his stories as horror films instead, most people would think he's a sicko. So really, it's all about context. Most of Shakespear's work has Guro elements in it, I guess just that it's hidden in all that flowery language, it's not as offensive or something.

Not that I've ever had a shrink but I would say you have a bad one. For a start I'm quite sure shrinks aren't supposed to display an outburst that can be described as "ballistic" towards any of their patients. And secondly expressing a like for horror films is a widely accepted norm and also a key hypocrisy in modern society. People will quite happily admit that they like horror or even specifically gory films and no one will bat an eyelid but the moment says they like guro, even non-sexualised guro, and woah, gotta take a step back from that shit.

On the issue of desensitization, the media will only show you so much of the horrors of life and people who only experience these horrors through said media can only be desensitized to a certain degree. They are still desensitized but so much as a person who experiences certain things repeatedly first hand.

As for Shakespear he didn't write his works with gore and sexual themes in mind. I mean, there's a slight difference between Shakespear and Marquis de Sade for example.

Oh and if you are fat you should go on a diet and actually research what a diet means, I.E. eating differently, not just eating less or only salads. And yes, I can say this because I'm a bitch so I don't really care for any excuses you might have.

Honestly, the violence, sadism, and death generally prevents me from enjoying Waita. The dark humor of stories like Mai-chan (and maybe the odd amputee) are the only things that make his stories tolerable for me.

...Heh, babyfuck.

>>77
No kidding. Honestly, before the final chapter, I just wanted to kill Kaede for all the shit she was putting Mai through.

Damn straight. Honestly, I'm rather glad a most of my fantasies are unfeasable or outright impossible IRL; several of them along with a couple of my more reasonable fantasies (relatively speaking) imply certain forms of bodily harm/danger that I would not wish upon anyone. Better to vent my eccentric desires through a medium where no one is actually hurt.

And as others have said, don't be so surprised. I avoid /g/ like the plague, but I seriously doubt there's anyone there prepared to put the board's material into practice.

>>110
DEFINITELY a bad shrink. Personal offense or not, I'm pretty sure it violates his profession's ethics to act like that. And why would possible weight problems affect your ability to switch therapists?

I talked to another psychatrist. This one's in Chicago, so I can't see her, where as the first one is closer to me.

I started Weight Watchers, and I've felt much better. So yeah, I am on a diet now. I realize how pathetic the fat acceptance people are, in the sense they keep bitching about their situation, without doing nothing to change it. Like, eating healthier is about more than being thin.

Also, my psychatrist in Chicago, mentioned that the Buddhists say if one is able to confront their fears of death, and their loved ones dying, they will live a better life.

Mai-chan's Daily Life is ultimately responsible for bringing me to Gurochan. I liked much of it, though the baby part made me sad.

Really, though, my preferred kind of guro would feature immortals who enjoy having that stuff done to them. But even the nastier stuff I can get some kind of enjoyment from.

I can't stand any kind of nonconsensual brutality to others in reality, though.

Anyway, back to Mai-chan's Daily Life. I've actually had flirtations with this sort of subject matter (though I recall being shocked by a gory image I saw way earlier in my Internet career, so in my case it was an acquired taste) before. Like my fascination with undead. But Mai-chan's Daily Life was what made me realize that I wanted to see more of this. I ended up asking a friend with guro interests and she recommended coming to Gurochan. So here I am.

>>110
I ditched a shrink over that kind of bullshit, and it's only recently that I've started looking for another one (mostly related to other issues in my life, the guro stuff I'm okay with).

It's not guro, but try Blade Of The Immortal.
The manga, I mean, not the horrible anime.

121 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-23 00:18 [Del]

I've heard of Blade of the Immortal, oh and before I continue I am not the same poster as >>119. I remember cracking open an issue of Blade of the Immortal, I think it was one where he was in the middle of a confession to a Christian priest. At any rate if I recall correctly he ended up killing the priest and there was blood on his blade. Doesn't that guy have some sort of thousand blood worms in him or something? In a way he kind of reminds me of spawn. Kind of but not really.

I'm not really into guro I just have a female fart fetish. I come here for that. Kind of wish they'd have more of that in main stream comedies. As for the deleted scene in Knocked Up about farting in the bathroom? To be quite frank if I wanted to watch a debate? I'd watch CNN. Where's the fart give s the blasted fart. I mean she's constipated she's halfway there why not go the rest of the way?

I'll be perfectly honest. I read Mai-chan's daily life because I was bored and saw a baby-fuck motivational poster on encyclopedia dramatica on the page for Lolicon (yeah I'm a sickfuck, sue me).

I saw the page for baby-fuck on there moments later. I was intrigued, and a download for the full manga followed the article. I clicked. Now I'm here.

I'll be frank, Mai-chan's daily life disgusted me. At first. After I read it the first time, I stopped half way and deleted the folder. However, I didnt delete the rar. A whole hour after I deleted the folder, I couldnt get it out of my mind. I extracted the rar again and read it all the way through. I kind of like it as a story, but I didnt find it sexy. I just thought it was a good, no, great premise and had great, detailed art. I never got a hard-on.

But, I won't be reading any more Guro. It was a one time thing for me. Mai-chan is the only one I can read, or can deal with.

But anyway, I don't mind people that like Guro, because ~most~ of you have the common sense to differentiate between real life and fantasy, so ~hopefully~ none of you will be stupid enough to try anything in Mai-chan in real life. And hey, if you like Guro, have at it. I like Lolicon, we're all sick fucks here.

131 Name: Anonymous : 2009-05-11 19:59 [Del]

I'm sure everyone here is sick and really just fucked up in the head (I know I am) but we're all smart enough to discern fiction from reality. So no we're not going to be serial killers, or baby rapists. We are just intrigued, fascinated and even just enjoy this kind of stuff.

Also The whole fact that she regenerates along with her incredible stupidity made this whole thing almost a laugh riot for me.

I would want to see more like this.

132 Name: Joe_Momma : 2009-05-19 15:11 [Del]

I've always been interested in Guro from an analytical/medical perspective myself. Kind of a "wow, so that's really what we look like on the inside" reaction. Of course, I could just read a medical textbook, but evreything there is so neat and tidey. It's not a sexual thing at all (Although that scene where mai had to fight her brother did give me a raging hardon).

133 Name: Anonymous : 2009-05-19 22:49 [Del]

I recently just started to like Guro. I went through a bit of denial for a while, figuring that I was a bad person for liking it. After reading Mai-Chan, I decided to come look at the pictures on here and I find them all interesting to look at. For the most part, the real heavy stuff is just more of a, "Oh, look at that... How creative and interesting," sort of thing. The stuff that I actually find arousing is just cutting, blood, beating, and maybe some broken limbs. Is that still considered Guro? I'm not entirely sure. As I said, I just recently began to accept that I like it.
Also, what I find appealing most about some of it is the result. Such as, if a person gets their eye sliced, they're most likely going to be blind in that eye. The thought of them having that handicap forced upon them is what I enjoy the most, if that makes sense.

I found Mai-chan to be pretty ridiculous...probably because she can't die, and therefor doesn't have as much of an emotional impact whenever she's maimed.

I'm surprised that no one ever talks about the presidents faggy pose near the blender...

When anime or manga get me depressed or something, somebody telling me it's just a drawing usually doesn't help. Further more, it does the opposite. Just saying it may not be the best advice. I'm not the poster from above who said he would save her and all that.

I guess I have a tragedy-fetish or something. I love such scenes as the one with the blender. No matter if it's RL or drawn. It's just that a game is an indirect realm, so I'm allowed to torture anyone as I please and it's still not wrong. :P

Not sure if its been mentioned all ready... but it should be known that heads have been known to remain consience for up to 15 seconds after head being removed form the spine after a behedings.

Then again, its a baby, might have fainted from the pain, or simply died alot quicker without the blade getting though the skull. In the case of blending a baby... it would proably loose conscience more or less instantly if the blade whent though its brain. Then again, babys skulls are not very stong yet, they are in many parts so that it is easyer for the mother to give birth. this propalbly means, (depending on the strenght of the blender) that it died instantly, that or there about.

Tooth enamel, like fingernails, is not actually alive so I doubt it could regenerate. The majority of enamel is also not formed at the time of birth so it wouldn't protect the rest of the tooth in a blender.
