Well that sucks. At least I grabbed the stuff that interested me most from there before it went down. It raises the concern though, isn't gurochan itself on DreamHost also? Could it come under fire as well?
Man, that really sucks. There was a lot more I wanted to read. At least I have my fave manga downloaded, "Oh! My Dog". Something about that just has me going back to it all the time. Not to femalefap, but to read as a lovely bedtime story. (Yeah I forget the formal term for femalefap. Hush.)
Really sucks that all of your great translations have to be offline. The site was wonderful for a lovely read before bed. Maybe you could host on Freewebs? I have an account at filefront if that'll help at all.

Devilman Lady 1-17 has been scanned and torrented years ago. The same goes for Amon: Darkside of Devilman 1-6, Neo Devilman 1-3, Violence Jack 1-18, Zuba-Ban 1-2, Legend of Shutendoji 1-6, Kekkou Kamen 1-3 and probably some else I am forgetting now. But of course nobody ever translated any of them except two stories from Violence Jack and one single chapter from Kekkou Kamen.
I find it a bit sad that no Italian Go Nagai fans have come forward and offered to translate the Nagai stuff from the Italian versions. So much of his work is available in Italy and surely that would be easier than working from Japanese...

K caterpillar, if you're reading this, i bought NOTTE PUTRESCENTE at a convention... it's really sick stuff. If you want i can translate it for you but i surely cant edit the scans (too hard)

The first step would be to compare the Japanese book YUME NO Q-SAKU to NOTTE PUTRESCENTE to see if they are identical in terms of the included stories. I think they are the same but only because they have the same artwork on the cover. If you email me or just tell me your email here I'll send you a download link for my scans of YUME NO Q-SAKU.

How much bandwidth was Gurotaku burning through a month? It would be easier to find a replacement host with this info.
I suggest anyone with "controversial" material to look into nearlyfreespeech.net. $0.01 per MB of storage a month and $1 per GB of bandwidth. Not the cheapest, but they're a solid host and they don't immediately bend over when someone tosses a legal threat their way.
GuroTaku was using 1TB/month so the service you suggest would cost $1000+ each month as opposed to the $60 per year Dreamhost charged. Also the problem was not that the material was "controversial" but that it was copyrighted.
Well There is one place I know of that has 100% no cost to make a site on well I know a way to get to the site just go to the link and click on "get free domain". and that should be it. Caterpillar you can get your site back.

And here is why Dreamhost noticed you and slapped you with a C&D. Sure, they offer ZOMG 100000TB BANDWIDTH!!1! but they're definitely not going to actually let you use that much (lol overselling). So when they saw your bandwidth usage, they took a look at your site, saw it was hosting manga downloads, and they knew they had an easy way to kick you to the curb.
I'd say host the files on Rapidshare or some other filedump service if you don't want to spend a lot (or any) money. It's that or sticking to torrents from now on, since no reliable webhost is going to give you 1TB bandwidth a month for shared hosting prices.
