I find myself constantly looking at /g/, not because I enjoy it, but because it makes me think about many things - all the cruelty in the world, the fragility and importance of human life, how lucky I am that I have a decent life, stuff like that.
Sure, there also is the whole morbid curiosity angle (which brought me here to begin with), but who would have known that visiting here would make me value what I have in life more than I did already?
Strange.....

I act the same. I don't really enjoy guro stuff, but look at it anyway... It's not as if I get off on anything here, but I enjoy just coming to this site and looking at the new pics and the artists websites more then actual porn. I have yet to get aroused here for mostly this site just does the opposite.
In the end I just come to this site and look at all the sections, just wanting something new to look at. It's strange indeed.

I originally got into guro out of the fact I'm a gorehound and love anime too. So discovering guro was like striking gold for me.
Some guro does make me think. I see a person being mutilated in a drawing but humanity is fucked up enough that it could easily, and probably have acutally happened some time in the past.
Human life is worth more then anything else in the known universe. We are the only creatures (As far as we know) with the ability to question our own existance, and alter our behavior accordingly.
To put it another way.
If human life had no worth, there would be no reason to look at guro. You don't consider your garbage to have any worth, and thus you don't ever think about, or post pictures your garbage to the internet.(You could be a smart ass and say that all sorts of people post pictures of garbage on the net, but I'm going to beat you to the punch and do it myself, because that detracts from my point.) The fact you think about guro and the loss of life proves that life has value.
