I dunno if it would make much sense, but I am proposing it anyway:
I'd like to see /g/ get its purpose range extended to /death/. I don't think it would annoy anyone who's browsing or contributing to /g/ as it is right now, but it would help contributors like myself have an appropriate spot for pictures that aren't really gorey but are focusing mainly on death or murder and would feel awkward to get posted on /f/ (example: http://img.gurochan.net/g/res/224.html).
Maybe like this?: /g/ - Gore / Death

A separate death board? Dunno. I doubt it would get many posts. However, I do like that kind of images, and they don't fit in /f/. /g/ would be the best choice for now. Instead of renaming, I'd rather just add death to the board-rules. I could set up a trial death-board, will think about it.

No, you misunderstood me. I meant to rename "/g/ - Gore" to either "/g/ - Gore / Death" or perhaps to "Death" only, not to create another new board.

Anyway, I don't think "Death" would be appropriate, not all gore is death. However, "Gore / Death" will do.

Make /s/ - Scat open for vomit fetishes, too. Can't think of any other bodily fluids that would need inclusion (other than blood which is covered in /g/ - man, image categorization is SILLY!), partly thinking of this because of pics like these:
Yes, I was going to ask the users of /s/ if they had anything against vomit, because it for me seemed to fit in there. I'll add vomit to the rules soon.
