> I look forward to reading about your future apprehension for any of a number of felonies. OHMIGOD SOME PEOPLE THINK MUTILATION ISN'T SEXY THE FREAKS!!! Jesus. This is sick shit, so don't try and blow it off as another "oh, nobody understands my fetish." Lolicon and furry and scat are all weird, but for the most part they're just that- weird. If taken too far, they may be symptomatic of problems. But guro is simply fucked up- people who like this have SEVERE mental health issues. This isn't "haha I like talking about Hitler because it shocks the norms," it's fapping to intestines. Offhand, I'd guess some sort of massive self-worth issues or fear of women, but I'm sure there are plenty of other ways to be fucked in the head enough that this seems sexy.

guro is a bigger problem in our society than pedophilia?

> Well yeah, exactly my point. This particular one isn't fiction. I mean, sure, the author didn't hurt anyone himself (Unless the family or friends of these victims see it)
> No one's crusading. Especially not me.

Dude, guro isn't even something I fap to. It's just relaxign to look at. Yes, it's relaxing. Seeing someone being torn apart makes me calmer. It's obviously some--to use hoity toity psychological terms--a sublimation of some psychic pressure, or just a constellation blowing off steam.

Point is, if you've ever slowed down to look at a car wreck, then you. like. guro.

People are not upset because its Guro, People are upset because the particular story is based on something that really happened.
Which brings up a question,What is going too far for Guro?

>Point is, if you've ever slowed down to look at a car wreck, then you. like. guro<

Wrong. Thats called curiousity, people are just curious about what happened another term for it is "rubbernecking"

Most people in the west wouldn't even know about the incident if it wasn't for the manga.

>Most people in the west wouldn't even know about the incident if it wasn't for the manga<

And?.... I fail to see your point, are you trying to justify it or what?
Guro is fine but IMO, that crosses a line.
It would be like if someone in the US made comics based off Gacy,Bundy, or Dahmer etc, its just not cool.

People have made movies, written books, etc. on those subjects.
I'd rather have it that people portrayed something horrible in an unappropriate way than not protraying it at all. At least the former case makes people aware of it.

What makes it sick is not that its Guro, or even the explotation factor(that is pretty sick though).
The sickest part is that the guy who actually commited the act is a free man today , he only served eight years, and apparently brags about what he did.

>People have made movies, written books, etc. on those subjects.<

Yes thats true but its handled in a much different light Uziga did this not to educate people or anything of the sort.

What he did is basically the equivalent of digging up this girl and commiting the brutal acts upon her again, and its sick because he did it purely for shock value and a few bucks.

The only sick people in this whole thing are those who actually committed the crime and those who let it happen.

reality ≠ fiction

I'm apologize about really bad English OK but...I'm not sure this guy (review writer) understands where Waita Uziga is about. Simply he likes to draw the scenes for peoople (I guess surely himself too) who get excite by image of violence, cruel actions, murder etc. Waita does shock most because he is very direct about. he is not making crime or horror movie to pretend "show all the evil but...say really it is bad..." if Waita Uziga did such stoery as "Silence of the lambs" this review will say "It is evil crimes shown, but now OK because Waita says its bad!"... But its fake anyway even based on real, like "Silence of the lambs" base on Ed Gein murders (also "Psycho" movie) do people say "directors Demme and Hitchcock are hurrting victoms family"?? It is "genius movie" millions people see and win Oscar! But Waita Uziga if only drawing (not movie) of "sex" is OK and drawing of "violence" is OK, so who cares then, shocked about drawing both of "sex and violence together"??? I dont think there is ever issue of Waita to "educate" or such a message. It is simply the strange kind of porn. Even most people who like hentai very few really like Waitas sick manga. No one says it is any healthy but...i think it is more sick to worry to much about Waitas manga. I mean, so many are die horribly in Sudan, Indian ocean tsunami, Iraq etc. Also people suffer from crime, rape and things in family (abused child) So the same energy to write "Waita Uziga draw about such horribly crime" can instead give money to heelp crime victims, charity of disaster etc. Its OK to say this sick manga (yes its sick!) but angry at Waita I dont know how does it help. If you really care aboutr suffer of others ignore drawings look at the reality every day and do some good things...If you like Waitas manga too, you can help others in the reality, many people feel "evil in heart" but dont ever hurt others. Dont you think also, many people feel "my heart is good" but actually hurt people in the reality?

I am not sure exactly what you are saying, those other things you mentioned are bad too, but have you ever heard the saying " two wrongs don't make a right"?

also the problem is that Uziga more or less copied verbatim what happened so its more than just a little based.

all my posts, i'd also like to point out that i'm not anti-guro, just anti-this particlar type of "story".

>>Silence of the lambs" base on Ed Gein murders<<

WRONG. Silence of the lambs is not based on Ed Geins murders, the only character based off of him and loosely i might add is Buffalo Bill.
See this page http://www.houseofhorrors.com/gein.htm or google his name for info on Gein

As for hurting victims families Geins murders happened so long ago that i'd be suprised if any of the people involved are still alive today.
Where as Uzigas manga is much more recent, i'm actually suprised he hasn't been sued, maybe the family doesn't know.
Eh anyway this is my last post i give up as i'm the only one that seems to have any sort of empathy here.

I think the major goal of Uziga's artwork is to make something that will offend and disgust absolutely everyone. And I think that he's probably come closer to it with this manga than he ever has.
